Synopsis
Ils sont trois, Ben, Chon et Ophelia – dite O. Un trio à la Jules et Jim qui produit et commercialise de l'hydro, un cannabis cultivé hors sol, sans matières organiques, et qui s'éclate gentiment – sexe, volley-ball, bière et dope – à Laguna Beach, Californie du Sud. Un beau matin, la reine du Cartel de Baja décide d'éliminer cette concurrence qui fait tache dans son empire. Le trio refuse avec panache l'offre de rachat et la belle vie californienne tourne au cauchemar quand O. est kidnappée... Après ça, le roman devient vraiment méchant. About the Author
Né en 1953 à New York, Don Winslow a été comédien, metteur en scène, détective privé et guide de safari. Il est l’auteur de nombreux romans, tous traduits dans une quinzaine de langues. Après avoir vécu dans le Nebraska et à Londres, il vit aujourd’hui à San Diego, paradis du surf et théâtre de ses derniers romans. Savages a été adapté au cinéma par Oliver Stone, avec entre autres Benicio del Toro, Salma Hayek, John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Aaron Johnson, Taylor Kitsch et Blake Lively.
